Bringing Humor to those in need

Mission Statement

Comedy with Care is a student-led initiative founded by Grey, a 18-year-old comedian with more than seven years of standup, writing, performing, and teaching experience. What started with a handful of comedians has grown into a mission supported not only by students, but by a widening circle of amateur and professional comedians who are helping bring free comedy and improv shows to children’s hospitals like Bellevue Hospital’s Impatient Child Psychiatry Department, the Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House families, assisted living communities, and other underserved audiences.

My Story

I attend The Masters School and have built my comedy practice across standup with the Gotham Comedy Club’s kids' comedy group, a school comedy club, and the improv troupe “8 Improv” Along the way, I have learned from and performed with both amateur and professional comedians, and I have successfully recruited that broader comedy community to help turn the initiative into something bigger than a student project.

The story behind the laughter

Started with passion

Comedy began as a personal craft and a serious commitment. Grey has spent years writing material, performing live, and developing the instincts to connect with an audience fast.

Grew with community

What began with a small circle quickly expanded into a broader network. Grey drew strong interest not only from fellow students, but also from amateur and professional comedians who wanted to lend their time, talent, and visibility to a mission that uses laughter to help others.

Found a deeper mission

The breakthrough came from bringing shows directly to children and adults facing difficult circumstances. In those rooms, laughter stopped being entertainment alone and became relief, connection, and hope.
